Under this year’s SOY rules, those classes who are showing only one qualified shooter, that one shooter has already won SOY for that class by default. Those folks will be grouped with other shooters as normal. Classes where there are 2 or more qualified shooters will be peered together, and should be on site, ready to shoot at 8:00am Saturday* morning. In cases where there are only 2 – 3 qualified shooters, we will add a “neutral” shooter or shooters to make a full group.

*Now, I’ve already been contacted by a member of the Mens Bowhunter B group stating that at least two of the shooters are slated to work Saturday. Although, I was told that there still is the possibility that they might get things worked out to be there Saturday morning, in the event that circumstances don’t work out for them to be off Saturday, and since I was told that it was alright for the 3rd party to shoot Sunday, we’ll allow that group to shoot together Sunday.

If there are any other conflicts, please let me or Scottie know, otherwise we’ll be expecting all the peer groups to be ready to go at 8:00am Saturday morning.

Let me also say this: Gang, this is a BIG DEAL! This shoot, suffice it to say, is for “all the marbles”, in regard to “bragging rights” in the North Zone! I know Scottie and the Cullman gang have busted their tails to make this one of best shoots of the year, and all North Zone shooters should come out and support their efforts! These Zone Championship shoots will even be a bigger deal come next year! As far as the above list of shooters, you’re all winners, no matter the outcome of the SOY race! But, moreover, folks, these are the people who bought the gas, logged the miles, and have sacrificed the most to support BHA, the North Zone, & all the NZ chapters! They’re the ones, all of them, who deserve the “attaboys”! I’m tickled to read the posts from the CZ & SZ shooters who are going to make the trip to this shoot. If I don’t get to personally thank you, let me go ahead now, and say THANKS SO MUCH!

It is still a shame that all 3 are on same weekend.
Hope that gets worked out from now on.

I agree! This, I’m sure, will be addressed next year.

Connie Sefcik is going down!! ;-)

Honestly though she’ll probably beat me. Always have a fantastic time either way!! I shot the 14 at North Jefferson & she missed. Haha!! Love you mom; if it weren’t for you & dad I would’ve never gotten into archery. Love this sport!!

I’m really glad to be part of a club that participates in our tournaments. You can tell by the numbers of Marshall County Shooters in the hunt for tomorrow. Good luck to every one!
