Shelby county Bowhunters is having a Broadheads Bows and BBQ shoot. September 19-20 at Oak Mountain archery park. Shoot times are from 8-2 both days. All proceeds go to the Urban Deer Control Program. There will be a Broadhead testing area, DCNR, Safety instructors, archery techs, and more! The cost of the shoot covers your meal of a BBQ plate with all the fixins! Hope to see everyone there!

Sandy and I hate we will miss it, but unfortunately I have to sit on the beach and look at blue water that weekend.

What is the cost of the shoot and the rules?
$15 to shoot – includes BBQ plate
ASA rules – but this is a fun shoot. Come enjoy! Lot’s of new shooters coming and lot’s of veterans also. Looks like perfect weather also.
If you don’t want to shoot, you can still eat. Plates are $5 each.
Vendors will be onsite.

Does anyone remember Center 12s ?
They were a 1/2 dollar size circle in the center of the kill zone.
So sad, they are gone for ever.We are shooting “Center 12’s” this weekend!!!!!!!
Yea!!!!!!! Maybe I can beat Fletcher now.
Well…… Center 12s didnt help me beat Fletcher. (Course he kept kicking my cane when I was shooting)
Larry did bring me a couple of hats so I had a great day.
Thanks Shelby/ Heritage

Thank you all for coming!!!! I was amazed at the turnout. Hoped the numbers would have been better but would just about put money on it that 50% of the ones who shot were NEW! Love seeing new faces. Some new to BHA, some new to tournaments and some new to archery. It was awesome!!!!
Thanks again to everyone who shot and who volunteered. And a BIG thank you to NewBreed, Grabows and Field & Stream for setting up and being there!!!!
