We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the 2017 BHA State Championship held at Lakepoint State Park in Eufaula, Alabama. Below is the list of events that we have planned for you. We’ve built a webpage with all of the details and also a link to purchase tickets for the banquet on Saturday night. Barbour County Bowhunters Inaugural Bass Tournament
Barbour County Bowhunters will be hosting a Bass Tournament on Thursday, August 10th, 2017. This is the first of two events leading up to the Bowhunters of Alabama State 3D tournament held at Lakepoint State Park on Saturday, August 12th, 2017.

The Bass Tournament will be at the Barbour Creek landing in Eufaula, AL
Blastoff will be 5:00 PM and run until 8:30 PM
There is a 3 fish limit
The entry fee is $25 per boat and includes a $5 buy in for the big fish pot
The inaugural event will be 100% Payback split based on participation
15 boats will pay up to 3 places.
50% for 1st
30% for 2nd
20% for 3rd

Indoor 3D & Spot Tournament (Money Payout)
When: Friday, August 11th from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

This is the second of two events leading up to the Bowhunters of Alabama State 3D tournament held at Lakepoint State Park on Saturday August 12th, 2017. Come get a little practice in before Saturday’s 3D tournament.

Come warm up after 5:00 PM and we will start shooting at 6:00 PM. If you can’t make it here by 6:00 PM, you can catch up as long as everyone has started by 7:00 PM.

We will shoot 2 rounds of 15 targets. The mixture of targets will be 3D, 2D, ASA DAIR, 40cm NFAA Single Spot, 35cm NFAA Hunter, Vertical 3 Spot, Vegas 3 Spot, 40cm NFAA 5 Spot & 40cm FITA Single Spot.

$20 entry fee for Men’s Open, Men’s Hunter, Women’s Open, Women’s Hunter & Traditional. $10 entry fee for youth classes under the age of 16. Payback will follow the ASA payback schedule for 2017.

Adults will shoot from 20 yards. Youth under 16 will shoot from 10 yards. Fun Rounds are $5 for youth, $10 for adults.

The format will be:
1 shot per target, per lane. Score, pull your arrow and move to the next lane. We will rotate from target to target like a 3D tournament.

On the 3D targets, the center 12 will count and the 14 ring will be in play. Spots will be marked with standard scoring and X’s. Tally your X’s in case of ties.

2017 BHA State Championship 3D Tournament
When: Saturday, August 12 at 8:00 AM ! SHOTGUN START !

We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the 2017 BHA State Championship held at Lakepoint State Park in Eufaula, Alabama. The course will be set on the old horse trail located adjacent to the picnic area. We will have signs throughout the area directing you.

You must be a BHA member to shoot in this tournament. If you choose to join onsite, PLEASE arrive early. We will have membership forms available if you would like to sign up before the tournament.

Parking and Registration will be in the Picnic area. We have secured 2 pavilions and the adjacent parking lots.
​The park charges $5.00 per car, $10.00 per passenger van & $25.00 per bus to enter the picnic area
A pass can be acquired at the guard house to leave and return if needed
Please do not park in the grass

Registration will begin at 6:00 AM and a shotgun start will be at 8:00 AM. PLEASE be sure to arrive early, register and warm up.

The State Championship will consist of 25 targets, 13 Known and 12 Unknown for the half and half classes.
Fees will be $30 for all payout possible classes
Entry fees for all non-payout possible classes will be $10
There will be no award for any Adult Class with 4 or less shooters
Payback will follow the A.S.A. payback schedule for 2017

Range A will be setup for the 30 yard and under classes. This range is about 1/2 mile long and is wooded with young pine trees and thick brush.

Range B will be setup for the 40 yard and over classes. This range is also about 1/2 mile long and is wooded with young pine trees and thick brush but, also contains spaces with tall grass. The walk to Range B is a little over .2 of a mile. Please arrive early enough to make the short walk to your stake.

After you shoot your round, stop by and try out the Known Yardage Novelty Long Shot.
You’ll get 3 shots for $5
The person closest to the dot will win 1/2 the pot
The target will be available to view prior to the shotgun start
The yardage will be set somewhere between 60 and 75 yards and the yardage will be displayed.

Please come and enjoy the night with us as we celebrate the 2017 3D Archery Tournament season. Seating is limited so please purchase your tickets now.

Adults – Lakepoint will be preparing Baked Chicken with Dressing, Giblet Gravy, Squash Casserole, Seasoned Green Beans, Chefs Tossed Salad with House Dressing, Rolls with Butter, Iced Tea and Water. Cake will be served for dessert. A bar is located adjacent to the Elm Room for those interested in partaking in adult beverages.
Children (Under 12, Small Portion) – Lakepoint will be preparing Chicken Tenders, French Fries, Seasoned Green Beans and Drink. Cake will be served for dessert.

We will have several thousand $dollars$ worth of door prizes to be given away at the banquet which include fishing and hunting trips. You must be present to win. Door prize tickets are included with your meal purchase. Additional tickets will be available for purchase at the banquet.
