A trad shooter known to many of us was recently confronted regarding his leather over a toothpick side plate. Piece is about three inches high. IBO has recognized the potential to use such a fixture both to sight and judge range by setting one inch above arrow limit. Of course IBO and ASA specifically forbid any mark or other indicator on the riser that potentially offers an advantage. It is interesting the shooter labeled his fixture as his ” cheat “, obviously recognizing the illegal advantage. My question to the membership is what do you think and what how would you handle it as a fellow shooter? For the match directors how would you handle his shooting your tournament with such a bow? Thanks for your response.
