Dumb question – I’ve been told that qualification for ASA State requires competing and placing well in other local qualifying tournaments. Are all of these tournaments considered qualifiers for state? If not, which ones count? I live in North Alabama (Madison) and was thinking of going to the Madison County shoot this weekend but wasn’t sure if this was a ASA qualifier.

Answer to 1st question: No. Not every tournament is an ASA qualifier. Answer to 2nd question: The tournaments that are, or will be qualifiers, may not be known at this time. My best advice would be to “stay tuned” to the 2015 Tournament Information thread, and those deemed to be qualifiers will be advertised as such.

For those who know at this time whether or not their shoots will be ASA qualifiers, could you let the forum know? I’m sure that there might be folks that might need to start making their plans now to attend.

Shelby county will be having an ASA qualifier on our May 2&3 shoot.

Placing “well” is not a requirement. Competing in a qualifier is all that is required. So stay tuned and shoot one.

Lee County has submitted the forms to have an AL/GA qualifier on May 23 and 24 shoot.
