Well, the next leg of the SOYT series is just a few days away. I shot the Choctaw Bowmen range with Jeremy Blackmon and he was telling me that they had opened up a relatively new section of their range for this shoot. I am looking forward to making the trip down to Pensacola and seeing the great folks at Panhandle Bowhunters again. For those of you that are going down to Pensacola, let me tell you about two things that are worth seeing if you are coming down for the weekend. The Naval Aviation Museum is an awesome place to visit. Check out there website at http://www.navalaviationmuseum.org for directions and features. My family has visited there many times and it is always a great way to spend a few hours or a day. Also, check out Pensacola Beach if you have the time. It is one of Florida’s nicest beaches to go to. The address for the range is at 7102 Sparshott Drive, Pensacola, Florida. 32526. Take exit 7 on I-10 and head south on Pine Forest Avenue 2.6 miles. Turn Right onto Blue Angel Parkway for 6/10 of a mile to U.S.Hwy.90. Turn Right onto U.S. 90 for 1.3 miles. Turn left onto Sparshott Drive and the range is at the end of the road about half a mile. Hope to see all of you there and please drive safely.
Thanks!

Well, made the trip down to the Sunshine State for the tournament this morning and the sun did shine for a while. I think that the rain moved in late in the afternoon. The new course setup was awesome! The terrain really made for some interesting shots. If you didn’t make the trip today, you should try to make it tomorrow. I got to see a lot of old friends today and got to shoot with a family from Eufaula and we had a good time. Thanks to the Panhandle Bowhunters club for a great shoot. You can tell that a lot of hard work went into the clearing of lanes, walking paths and target setups. Well, three down and the state shoot to go. Seems like the 3D season is motoring right along. School is getting out in a few weeks and the hot summer not too far away. Looking forward to seeing everyone at some of the ranges I hope to make the trips to over the next few months. If you go to Pensacola tomorrow, please drive safely and good luck!
