What a blessed day we have had today! The weather was good even though the weather forecasters were calling for thunderstorms. A lot of folks drove to shoot with us and we do very much appreciate all of you that came out and competed on the range today. I got to see a lot of new faces and meet some people that I haven’t met before and got to see a lot of familiar faces in the crowd as well. We got a lot of good compliments on the range and I have to thank our club members for all of their support getting ready not only for this shoot but the Covington County Youth Archery Association tournament two weeks ago. Our range looks very good and I think it is a very challenging course. I will get to find out tomorrow. I hope a lot of you got to win a door prize. Tractor Supply in Andalusia and Samson and Geneva Dollar General managers for helping us locate some very good door prizes to give away.
Please keep your fingers crossed and say a prayer for us on Sunday morning that the rain will hold off here for tomorrow.
Thanks!

Well the rains came in this afternoon and made the last couple of hours of our shoot really miserable for our final shooters of the weekend. Our club members would like to thank all of you that drove so very far to shoot with us. I hope that each one of you that did, had a great time. We put a lot of hard work into putting the shoot on this weekend and we hope that you enjoyed it. Huge thanks go out to John Mitchell for all of his hard work and dedication on setting up the majority of the range over the past weeks. Phillip Peebles also worked hard on it on the weekends while attending the police academy during the week. James and Yvette Ennis as always help out with helping to run the shoot. Betty always does a great job with cooking good food for everyone top enjoy.
Bryan Gilbert gave up his entire weekend to help us register and enter scores for everyone and we really appreciate him devoting his time to help us. He will verify and post the scores as soon as possible. Thanks again to all of you that came out to shoot with us and we hope to see you again next month for our “SHOOTOUT CANCER” 3D Tournament. Thanks again to all that helped to make this a great weekend for Covington County. We appreciate it very much!
