Do you have to shoot a qualifier to be able to participate in the Tuscaloosa Pro/Am??

No, but you do have to be an ASA member.

Asa gives one shoot per year for a non member excluding the classic. You must shoot a qualifier and state shoot to shoot the classic or shoot a minimum of 2 asa pro/ams before the classic. If you are a nonmember your proam under the nonmember rule doesnot allow you to qualify for the 2 asa pro/am bid to the classic

Where can you find a listing of qualifying shoots?

That is correct. One has to shoot two qualifiers, two Pro Ams, or any combination of the two. Or, at least that’s my understanding.

The ASA shoot near Fort Benning had at last count 1542 shooters registered. It was one of their largest turnouts and I am thinking that Tuscaloosa will be evn bigger due to it’s location. I talked to several people from Texas and Oklahoma and they all said that they would be there and that they felt like a lot more people from their hometown areas would make the trip to Tuscaloosa as it was a little closer for them to drive. I can hardly wait to see the turnout for Tusclaoosa and how good the shoot goes. I think that the Tuscaloosa/Northport area will be a great venue for this event.
