We hope everyone enjoyed your self at Autauga this weekend and thanks for braving the cold weather and all the great compliments. Mark Proctor did a wonderful job of braving the cold and keeping everyone on track. There is no way BHA could even start to repay or Thank him enough. I got the privilege to watch how hard he works and what a great job he is doing for this organization. My hat is off to Mark for a job well done, Words or nothing material could ever be enough to reward such an outstanding leader! Thank you Mark. We had tempartures in the 20’s and highs in the 40’s for the weekend and had 159 shooters.

Thanks to the Autauga gang! We had a great time, as usual, and braved the cold wind on Saturday.
My little 8 year old shooter, Fletcher, had a good time at his second 3-D shoot and shot well.
Great 3-D setup!…just wish I could have shot them all (had a bit of arrow rest problem)…but, I kept schore well……….
Thanks!!

We would like to thank everyone again for coming out to support us this weekend. I also would like to apologize to a couple of shooters because of the position of the green and red stakes and the terrain. We had a couple of shots that were not set up for wheel chair acessibility. Everyone should be more aware of this fact when setting up our ranges. I just overlooked this and it needs to be brought to all our attention so it will not happen again. Also we had some complaints about busting groups and a lot of shooters did not want to split up. I understand some of this but it is in the rules to keep integrity in our sport. We made all attempts to accomadate people but all the new people need to know it is for your own good for the groups to be busted. If you shoot with other people it will make you a better shooter and that is good for our sport. Thanks again for the support everyone gave Autauga Bowhunters.

Thank you Autauga for the hospitality! And thanks for the compliments Leldon. Autauga put on a first-class shoot that shooters really enjoyed. Busting groups is required and not a pleasant job, but Leldon did an excellent job to accomodate as many people as possible and taking the time to explain why it is done. Please be considerate of the people in charge of this difficult task. Leldon also made a point of setting shooting stakes. EVERYONE ALLTHE TIME needs to be thinking of all the different types of shooters we have. I know that sometimes the terrain dictates but at least give it some thought for the what if…. see ya’ll at the next one.
The outstanding support that Rick of Archery Unlimited gives to the Autauga chapter and BHA was in full view at the Trail Shoot. Everyone got something personally given to them by Rick as they came off the range. Anytime you get a chance please tell him thank you for his above and beyond support.
