Well, another BHA state championship weekend is behind us for another year. I would like to thank all of the Barbour County Bowhunter members that helped to put on such a great weekend. For those that have never hosted a big event like the state shoot, it is a LOT of hard work and takes a lot of hours to get everything setup and running. I had a lot of fun on Friday night at the indoor shoot. The state championship tournament was a lot of fun. The weather was good and I was fortunate to be in a great peer group. I was nervous to start with but the guys in my group were awesome and made my day a lot better. Wes and Shane both shot very well and I learned a lot from them during the shoot. Just goes to show that you can teach an old dog sometimes. The banquet was a huge success. I think just about everyone got a door prize as they had a lot of them to give away. AWESOME job by a great group of people to host such a great event! The club that hosts the BHA state shoot next year is going to have to up their game to meet the bar set by Barbour County this year. Thanks again for all of the hard work and dedication to bring together a great weekend of events for all of us to enjoy. Even though I didn’t win, I sure had a good time there and can’t wait to go back again next year….

Tammy Murphy, BubbaB, BHA WebmasterThank you Mr. Danny for the kind words. We are very happy about how everything turned out and glad you enjoyed it. We hope everyone did. You are correct, it is a lot of work, but in the end, to see everyone smiling at the end if the night was worth every bit of it. We are looking forward to next year and will be available to help Autauga County in any way we can.
