Well, I made the trip down to the Sunshine State and was able to find the Choctaw Bowmen Range with a little help from GPS and the very well placed sign next to the highway pointing to the entrance to the range. I got to meet several nice people and found the range to be very well laid out and the targets were very different than I am used to shooting. Got to shoot with Jeremy Blackmon and James Smith and they made the shoot a lot of fun. This is my first time going to Choctaw to shoot but I hope it is not the last. I had a great time even though I had to leave as soon as it was over to get my wife back home in time to get some rest before going to work.
Thanks to the Choctaw Bowmen Club for hosting a great event. You can tell from the range that they put a lot of hard work in to getting it ready. The REALLY close gator was fun! I really enjoyed the target setups that you folks had for us to shoot at. It was fun and very interesting and I had to really work to hold on the 12 rings. Thanks for all of your hard work! Looking forward to seeing everyone in Pensacola next weekend for the SOYT tournament at the Panhandle Bowhunters range.
