i am not too sure these newer bows are so fast that it does not leave the deer a lot of time to react to the string noise, but i do know they can hear the arrow coming some broad head make a lot of noise, but some vanes flutter at fastter speeds. i have checked that out while my son is shooting his bow the arrow makes a frying sound air rushing. hence the deer drops or jump straight up. i had one spread eagle to an arrow once i used to think aim low well one deer fooled me one on that if they drop down you got him but if they jump you cleanly miss. you thought?
