i like the expandable because most fly to the same poi point of impact as field point s, but when i am shooting low poundage like i am now fixed blade broad heads i prefer. like slick trick.or muzzy.i do like cut on contact heads.the first grim reapers i bought were 1 3/8″ cut , so i will be fine with them at 40 pounds, who knows i might be up to 50 or 55 by 15 October, never can tell, so if not i still have nice fixed blades, plus a bunch of MX3’s and MX4’s.i got to counting i need to buy more arrows, cause i got too many broad heads.

barry i have been shooting but with that said i have bunch of Excalibur bolt cutters 1ng muzzy for years i have just recently bought rage and grim reapers to shoot in my crossbow.150 grain all stainless steel heads that are as bad or badder than my mx3’s those things are extremely sharp will go through that shield like it is not there. i have been working out and hope to be up in strength by deer season. i plan to turn up my bow soon since Chris put my trophy taker drop down rest on my bow it is as slick as garlic toast really really do like the full capture rest by trophy taker. a t the expo i bough 12 arrows 6 cx terminators and 6 carbon express the crush 350 spine arrows, that i can’t wait to send them sizzling towards a deer or hog. either way one or the other will be hating life. i had posted i wanted to shoot theGriz trick IIi after talking to tony at slick tricks he advised me to not shoot those with my current set up or to save them for my crossbow so i haven’t bought any.my gold tips are the xt hunters in 55/75. all of them are cut to 28″which reminds me i need to move my modules they are set to 267/8″ draw length, but my actual draw length is 28″ bow tech told me to move them up to #3, for a 28″ dl.i did and now i am setup and shooting 28″

I love my ole snyper 2 blade just more reliable with n ole rubber band .hated 2 see them go.some people hate rubber bands but I don’t its pretty easy to tell when there gonna break the other ones put the word mechanical n mechanical broad heads with springs & watknots that get all crust & rusty & sometimes have a mind of there own.use to like Monte g5 they flie good for me but always had a swish or whistle if ur bow had any speed

true that is what i am trying to stay away from i had some rocky mtn b.h. they whistle to the target so i quit using them now i also have some nap thunderhead which i like.Jason got to talking about slick tricks so i went to their web site and looked at all of them over i believe i would like to try the grizz tricks in 125 grain. if i can get my poundage up to 60 by deer season. they look wicked to me.tony at slick trick told me to wait until i can pull 70 pounds, as those big 4 blade cutting diameter need a lot more power than my mear 35 pounds.

i am ashamed to say this, i was lloking at broad heads to day and for life of me i don’t know who makes ramcat broad heads?my wife bought me a new sight for my bow it is an apex 4 pin with an led light, the apex tundra bone collector sight i put it on the bow a little while ago now i need to go backwater to sight it in.update #1 the 20 yard pin is sighted in, i hope the others will be close when i try them at the range on redstone. they have an elevated platform shooting point to 3D targets. at different distances.

the ones i hated to see go was the wasp razor heads i used to shoot them a lot that was before i started buying muzzy’s, they were sharper. if i shot at a deer with them i knew it was dead. those were very accurate . quite, cut like no tomorrow, i hated they always pass through i never found them. shoot the bow it went in and come out the deer never went far the arrow rattled off in the woods.since the expo i bought a bunch of nocturnals in green which i really like i can find my arrows when they pass through. plus if i wound the game and they lay down i should be able to see that near dark.:)

i am not going to shoot the rage i have or the grim reaper, i will shoot the razor tricks or my muzzy.to get back to 4 blades cutting i ordered, and put together Muzzy MX-4 4 blades which are easy to sharpen, or replace the blades. so i am all set, once i get the release to drive, now i have wheels. i can go, once i have the letter saying i can drive

barry i am old school in that regard i will shoot these pretty razor trick they are 100 grain razor sharp. 4 blades cutting mean machines. they are strong field point accuracy great for low pound draw weight and short draw length which kills speed.

i ordered 6 razor tricks then put them puppies together but lost one of those tiny screws in the carpet, then i bought 3 viper tricks which are like the standard tricks, but sharper than the razor trick which are not shave sharp. if the blades are not shave sharp i can’t see using them as i am not walking all over Alabama to chase down a deer or pig that is not dieing, anytime soon.i refuse to leave game in the woods, plus the deer deserve the best so why be lazy and shoot a broadhead that is less than sharp?if it will cut hair off your arm then it is sharp enough to hunt with respecting the game your after.

these if they will load up are the sweet sexy viper tricks i got in,phpThumb_generated_thumbnailjpg.jpgImage Enlargerand these razor tricks will cut up a hog i read of a lady that was shooting a 40 pound pull bow that got a complete pass through on a hog.23522_380046870785_5270881_n.jpgImage Enlargerwhich is no easy task because of the shield behind the shoulders, it takes a good cutting broad head to get through it. i believe the viper tricks are up to the task once i get to where i am shooting more poundage:)

not long ago i was over at the house , so i sat down with my bow, to see if i could draw it easy enough sitting dow, sure enough i could so i turned it up a little, as for what i am drawing now. i have no clue, but i can get to my anchor point. with all my broad heads mounted on the arrows, spin test completed, everything looks good, i think i am ready to go. all i need is wheels.
