The BHA Board Meeting|Discussion Items|Forum|Bow Hunters of Alabama

I was so pleased with the turnout yesterday at the BHA Board Meeting.
Business was carried out and we had an outstanding and informative presentation from Marisa Futral, with the DCNR, and Glenn Campbell, our Sponsorship and Website “man of the year”. I say that with respect and admiration because I know how much work and research has gone into the presentation he gave and the website layout we have today.
This website will be the future growth factor for our organization! We finally have entered the era of electronic communication. We have not been in the forefront of this generation of global communication and information…but thanks to Glenn, we are about to enter a new era for BHA.
We should never be afraid to grow and expand our organization. BHA can assume a bigger role in the future of bowhunting, archery, education and safety in Alabama and proclaim it to the nation and to the world through the Internet.
Marisa, with her presentation of the ATA bowhunting message has given us the pathway to growing bowhunting and archery in Alabama. Our association with NASP, IBEP and this new ATA program is a positive fit for supporting our by-laws and constitution. The development of archery parks across the state have given a “shot-in-the-arm” for the growth of our sport. BHA members and Chapters need to embrace these new ideas and incorporate them into our plans to increase our membership and our sponsorship.
With the new advertising proposal for our website, each member can now ask supporters of bowhunting and archery to join us in developing a plan to grow.
ALL of us need to make this growth a goal.
