The Past Twelve Months|General Business|Forum|Bow Hunters of Alabama

In The Past Twelve Months We Have:

-Grew from 400+ to 1100+ members simply because of the actions of our members……
-Raised over $20,000 for Cancer Research during Bow Up Against Cancer and Shoot for Cancer which took lots of volunteers to help raise this much money for our communities and state.
-Put on over 50+Chapter 3D Tournaments Successfully, this took a ton of doers from each Chapter which also was supported by our members in attendance and help raise money for our Chapters to operate.
-Put on Four BHA Trail Shoots Successfully and Put on BHA State Shoot Successfully which also required large amount of helpers from all over the state.
-Conducted 3 BHA State Board Meetings Successfully
-Put on Bham Bowmania event successfully with gaining 100 new members at the event
-Manned a booth at Buckmasters event in Montgomery successfully.
-Help conduct 3D Shoot at the Alabama State Games Successfully
-Met and made countless new friendships over the course of the year that will last for a lifetime.
-Introduced bowhunting to many adults, teens and kids because we love this sport of archery and bowhunting. MANY of these were families that now are enjoying family time together.
-Help prepare tons of shooters to be more effective shooters for bow hunting thus reducing the wounded animals typically encountered.
-Developed and approved new Master Bowhunter program to help promote bowhunting and bowhunting education.
-Began BHA training on Explore Bowhunting to help us train our youth to enjoy bowhunting for the rest of their life and share it with others.
-Several Chapters and Individual Members assisted teaching NASP School kids the art of archery and helped in competition. Made a HUGE difference in many of their lives that would never had participated in other sports.

….and finally I know there were many other things that I cannot recollect but I know that our members helped tons of friends and family members with their archery shooting and hunting skills thus passing this sport on for generations which is the Mission of BHA.

I think we had a pretty good year and lot of involvement from our members…..now lets harvest some deer for our tables.
