I know some folks are hunting but I know they don’t hunt 24/7 and most people don’t hunt or work at night, I was checking for any schedules today and found nothing so I checked the ASA schedules and see that the first shoot in Foley is Feb.22 -25 and Phoenix city shoot at Uchee Creek is March 22-25 and there is one in Georgia this year, be glad when the BHA schedules are up so I can start planning my weekends.

I hear nothing but crickets on the forum now. Where are all the harvests???? Where are all the hunting stories???? Somebody PLEASE post something!!!!!
I feel exactly the same way, Charmen!
What we’re talking about here, is, has been, and probably will be, the continued debate over just what BHA really is! Used to be, we were a group of hunters, who utilized archery equipment in their quest for harvest. But the battle for what we used to be seems to be losing that fight to the weekend target archers! Now, I’m not saying that’s a bad thing, ’cause let’s face the reality, 3D tournaments is where the money is made! We can get in our nice, air-conditioned vehicles, drive to whereever we choose, no worries on scouting, no concerns over when to plant our plots, no problems finding the right tree, and on and on. And, yet still have an opportunity to get 20 to 25, sometimes 30 shots off at multiple types of game. Heck! Even when we make good, lethal, humane shots on those animals, we don’t have to worry about field dressing, caping out, taking it to the meat processor! Shoot! You don’t even have to utilize your skills blood trailing, or tracking! Is anyone getting this??
Again, I have no problem with target archery. I love it myself! There is no better way to hone your skills with a bow & arrow! But, I do wish the emphasis was geared more toward trophies with real hair on ’em, rather than a belt buckle that one doesn’t even use to hold their britches up!
The reality is, hunting is work! It’s takes patience, perseverance! It can be bloody, nasty, stinky. You know, real blood, sweat, & tears stuff! Hold on! It’s 2017, almost 2018! Unless there’s an app you can get on your smartphone, ain’t nobody gonna do that crap anymore! And, if hunters don’t band together, those of us who still HUNT won’t have to worry with it anymore! Jus’ sayin’……….Heck! Pretty soon they’ll have 6-seater side X sides to drive us from target to target! Then, we can say “We’ve arrived!”…LOL

I so agree Kevin! I am just getting tons of phone calls wanting schedules but can’t help anyone anymore. I need to set S3DA schedules but can’t even coordinate that because we don’t have schedules. Guess I will be scheduling on top of some BHA shoots. I have no choice now. I have to get the schedule posted.
I will ride with you Chester. I know how bad knees can be.
