Amendments can be made to the By-Laws. However, a motion to amend the 3-year lock on tournament rules must be submitted prior to the START of the meeting. Please have the motion thought out. You must have the motion written as the change will be made. Additionally, present motions for changes in tournament rules (which will be tabled as will the 3-year lock motion) prior to the START of the meeting. Again, think your motion out completely. Do not present them on napkins from your breakfast. There have been many good thoughts on the direction to take regarding speed imits and classes. I feel it is the time to make a step forward and to address these issues. What we discuss this Saturday is what will be voted on in August. Members contact your chapter representatives and tell them what you think should be done. All BHA members are invited to attend a Board Meeting and can have an opportunity to take the floor to speak.
Also, this is the meeting to review Bow Hunter of the Year applications. Make our job hard by submitting more than one in each category. This is an important meeting, looking forward to seeing everyone.

Mark,
Presumably there will be rule change motions at the May meeting that are going to overlap, contradict, etc. How is this handled when voting on and setting the rules at the August board meeting? From your post it sounds as if no motion on rules can be submitted or tweaked after the beginning of the meeting.
Thanks,
Kenny

Kenny,
Historically motions have been submited prior to the meeting’s start. Certainly there will be amendments to those motions after discussion has taken place. I would like to see well thought out motions for the changes requested, not spur of the moment thinking. A quick review of the presented motions will be necessary to exclude those that have obvious overlap with other motions (with the presenters permission of course). Mark
