Thanks to Alabama DCNR for our new shooting range!!!!!!!|General Discussions|Forum|Bow Hunters of Alabama

I was visiting the new location of White Oak Archery in Andalusia Saturday which is now located in the Sporting Lifestyles store and heard some great news. I have not fired a high powered rifle in several years and was talking about that with several members of our club that were there looking over the huge selection of guns and ammo as well as the huge selection of bows. This is going to be a great place to come in and get anything that you might need for the outdoors. Anyway, several of the members were talking about the new rifle range that the Alabama DCNR had built just south of Andalusia near Brewton/Escambia area. I decided to check it out and when I looked on the search engine on the computer it showed a press release with Marisa Futral and several DCNR staff members there for the grand opening back in October. My wife and I drove down there to check it out and there were several people there and a couple of the guys had their sons with them teaching them the basics of safety and shooting. I was able to shoot 7 or 8 rounds while there and had forgotten how much I liked to shoot a rifle at distance. The facility is just awesome and I am glad to see the DCNR go to such great lengths to provide a safe and awesome place to shoot. I am sure that the folks at the DCNR don’t need my thanks for the great job they are doing in our state but I felt like that I would share this with all of you because they do such an awesome job with not only the many archery parks that they have helped to bring to our state but now a safe and fun place to shoot a firearm as well.
