I am new to BHA, but not bow hunting. My archery experiences started with my 30# Ben Pearson recurve,(in 1963) which I still have, and Boy Scouts. Over the years, I have not kept up my archery skills and find myself having to start over from time to time. Although I own 3 compounds, a crossbow and several recurves, i still love the recurve the most. My wish is that I can get more time to practice. Hopefully this year is my year to take some deer and a turkey with my Bear Kodiak……trying now to put together a good practice site in my back yard.
My question is….how do I choose a chapter? What activities do a chapter offer? I live in Shelby county and hunt Shelby/Bibb counties.

We would love to have you as part of our Shelby county chapter. I am currently the president. This is our second year as a chapter. We have been hosting 2-3 BHA shoots a year at Oak Mountain State Park. With a little luck we will have our new archery park completed at some point later this year. I have been anxiously awaiting the park in order to give us a a great facility to really promote archery in Shelby County. We really do much once hunting season starts. Most of our activity will be from February – September.
Our chapter dues are $15 and that covers your whole family. Let me know if you would be interested in joining or have any questions.
