I donated a hunt to the Elmore County Chapter a few weeks ago. The winner of the hunt brought a buddy over this weekend and hunted with me. I had another hunter in camp as well. Anyway, they killed 16 hogs over a 24 hour period. Some day hunting and some thermal optics. They killed 3 boars with GREAT cutters as well. That is not normal! That is like going on a hunt in Alabama and killing 3 P&Y bucks in one weekend!
I will post a picture if I can figure out how to reduce it in size. LOL

It must be hog rutting season for the big boys to be moving.
All 3 were out alone in big hay fields simply stripping grass and rooting. Man they can dig a deep hole quick.
Now that you mention it I can’t remember seeing in hog mating going on at night. See lots during the day but never at night. Guess they are more interested in feeding when it is cool and quiet. Then again, maybe I just haven’t seen any yet.
