We all have been civil in all these discussions and I see great opinions and ideas. The speed and acuracy comments are interesting. I used to feel that you had to sacrifice a little to get speed but I do not believe that now. The bow platforms are so stable and engineered that speed has accuracy now. I have no problem getting accuracy with 290 plus speeds. The arrow leaves the bow quicker and gives the archer less time to move the arrow while it still is on the bow. I will agree some bow platforms still shoot better slower but not all.

Thanks to evey one thats posted there ideas on this thread. And shogun no need to apoligize just did not want any one to think i was trying to make trouble of any kind. Its great we can all come together here on the fourm and discuss each others ideas and get feed back from other fellow bow hunters .And good luck to every one this weekend in local shoots and and the turkey woods . The later is where i will be spending my time gonna try and whack one.

jermery i am a new guy but i have shot 3D in tennessee for yearsand all you see at the shoots is hunting bows mine included as yours but most of the new ones will smoke my 310 ibo speed if it is that muc i can’t draw 70 pounds right now bu i hope i can by deer season. i feel you pain the most i can say shoot a lot heavier arrow to slow it down. put toys on the string will slow it up some.i deal with that on my crossbow@315fps.which is a barnett jackal i intend to hunt with it and my diamond compound.

i shot an alpin sierra mag at 72pound in 3D itwas at 280fps it was fun to deer hunt with i would get a deer in range say boo to see if they can get away frome. nope never jumped the string enough to keep from getting a muzzy in them. i laughed so much and had a blast now with these a lot faster bows if we stay at 280fps i don’t feel i am limited.course i am not any where near full power i am turned down to around the state mimium 35lbs i think i will check it tomorrow but i won’t complain that is all my stroke will let me draw for now. it will get better in time.
